The mission of Pepperdine University School of Law is to provide highly qualified students with a superior legal education. The school seeks to prepare students for positions as counselors, advocates, and judges; as business persons; and as researchers, teachers, and philosophers of the law. These ends are furthered by a program of academic excellence combined with practical experience.
Pepperdine Caruso Law Belonging Awards 2024 Highlights
Pepperdine Caruso School of Law hosted the fourth annual Belonging Awards on its Malibu campus on March 2, 2024. The ceremony celebrated individual students, student organizations, staff, and faculty who exemplify diversity, inclusion, and belonging at Caruso Law and alumni who promote diversity and belonging in their profession.
“The Belonging Awards has become a key event around diversity and belonging at Caruso Law precisely because it reflects that we value the hard work done by our awardees,” said Dean of Students, Belonging, and Career Development, Chalak Richards Guinses. “Celebrating each other encourages us to continue to build a legal profession where everyone belongs, and our awardees and keynote speaker reminds us that it is possible.”
More than 100 community members, alumni, students, faculty, and staff attended the event at the Lighthouse on Pepperdine’s Malibu campus, which included welcome remarks from Guinses and Pepperdine University vice president for community belonging and chief diversity officer J. Goosby Smith, followed by an invocation by Caruso Law dean, Paul Caron. The keynote address was delivered by the 29th Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court Patricia Guerrero.

Last week the Lon V. Smith Atrium was filled joy as we celebrated 25 years of the Legal Aid Clinic’s dedication to the unhoused community in Los Angeles. Thank you to all to attended, supported, and participated in the journey thus far. Cheers to another 25 years! Mr Wang Chengjie , Xiamen University www.xmu.edu.cn, '1983-87, (王承杰 in Chinese ?), seems a real professional, legal technocrat. a graduate of the law school of Xiamen University, famed the best in south China. The Cietac finally has a real expert in the field that can also lead.
I love handle on the law, i listen to the podcast on I heart. I live in NC. I admit trump is not articulate, but you have to consider his has been in a position all is life we’re he can say what he wants and don’t care you if like it not. That’s what I like about him he’s not a career politician. But I do believe he has the county’s best interest at heart. I really believe he is standing behind the American people. The economy is good. So I look forward to your next podcast. Oh buy the way that levin guy you have stand in for you. Find someone else, I want to hear about legal issues not trump bashing.
